It has been to long and too many ideas later to re-energize the old Los Arcos Mall, and I am glad ASU was involved with this project. Most do not know the scenic charm and old brick homes that South Scottsdale has to offer. With the Tempe Market Place right in their backyard as well, people need to look at this community as a great place to raise a family.

I am just glad to see South Scottsdale get a face lift. Just today as I was traveling to a city just outside of my hometown, I noticed a building under construction that was 95% complete. I had just gone through that city a few weeks earlier and here before my eyes has this huge new building I had never seen before. I was amazed at how fast they put that thing. Here in my hometown, residential homes tend to take months to go up but move just a few miles into the commercial business district and you have buildings going up in a matter of days - or should I say minutes it seems?

It has always been amazing to see how fast commercial building go up in my area. Perfect idea for the intense Arizona sun.

The “iconic SkySong shade structure” reminds me of the Denver International Airport.
