I remember voting (in Kindergarten, we didn&#039;t have pre-K in the dark ages) at the same time as the Presidential election. We voted on the actual candidates though--Carter v. Ford. Most of my entire class voted for Ford while I held out for Jimmy Peanut. Woulda been less humiliating if we&#039;d voted for ice cream!
But you&#039;re right: it&#039;s encouraging that we transfer power so calmly every 4 or 8 years, even though nearly 1/2 of us disagree with the outcome every time.
